The Happenstance, Drake & Morgan‘s year-old baby next to St Paul’s cathedral, threw a rather interesting birthday bash for its grown up buddies. They seem to have ticked the checklist for a proper 1st birthday party:
There was cake, bunting and goody bags…
Balloons (c/o Natalie Ballooniverse)…
Beverage for the kids…
…and bevvies for adults too! Cocktails courtesy of Snow Queen Vodka were a hit.
A special carving station manned by Head Chef Yann Baril…
Magicians (and tacticians) showing off new tricks…
“Clowns”…
Greeting cards by Ellie Waring
Cool, groovy tunes…
A pretty cool death-defying entertainment act…
This pose was my personal favourite, which I shall call “Parallel Planking”
A photographer who’s rarely in the shots (so here’s a picture of Rudi Netto, who documented the event)
And lots of fun-loving friends.
It was a pretty sound birthday party. A & I had fun 🙂
Happy birthday, Happenstance! Here’s to many more celebrations to come!

There were two food stations by the event planner; sliced roast chicken and a beef brisket with mashed sweet potato served in a cast iron casserole! The beef was really tasty and tender.
