La-la-la-love… DIPTYQUE Do Son (Eau de Parfum & Perfume Solide)

It’s the “month of love” again so I’m bringing back my La-la-la-love… series starting with two awesome products I am currently obsessed with.
I’ve been filling my life with a lot of diptyque scents lately. My room has been decked with their candles (in Ambre and Tubereuse) and as previously mentioned, my holiday scent was the Philosykos perfume oil. I’ve fallen in love with yet another scent from the Parisian perfume house and I think it’s one to last a while, the way Cool Water woman did me in high school. It’s what I wore during my wedding day and got quite a few compliments on it.

diptyque’s Do Son gives you a heady floral scent of tuberose sans the migraine. It leaves you with a creamy, silky, almost powdery like note that’s quite sultry. I’m surprised at how much I like this scent considering I’m not a fan of gardenia and jasmine, but there’s a certain lightness to it that’s just pleasant and sexy.

I have it in the Eau de Parfum and Parfum Solide forms. I wear the perfume on a daily basis and it makes me feel fresh and elegant. I prefer the Eau de Parfum (£85 per 100ml) more than the Eau de Toilette (£72 per 100ml) as it gives a more intense scent and value for wear.

I touch up with the solid perfume when I go straight to a night out from work. It’s a much nicer way to touch up as I feel like it lasts longer.
The solid perfume is tiny at 3.6g - that’s just a bit less than your usual pot of lip balm/tube of lippy. For £28 per pot, it’s quite pricey but trust me when I say you’d smell and feel fresh off the glam room after a few swabs of this on your neck.

Like their perfume oils, diptyque solid perfumes come in a handy grey pouch which fits nicely in small bags/clutches.

The scent is just as intense as the perfume and worn with, it’s just a really sexy floral explosion and a hint of spice that doesn’t leave you smelling like a flower garden. I love, love, love Do Son and I hope you’d like it, too!

What’s your favourite diptyque scent?

I have Diptyque's L'Ombre dans l'Eau and I can also vouch for it's staying power. I didn't know they did solid perfume though, I'll have to check it out as it's much easier to carry around than a liquid perfume.

I like that scent, too! I think they only do solid perfume for some scents. They're very good for touch ups though! x
